Cultivating Genius. Inspiring Purpose.
What if education could be more than lessons, assignments, and test scores? What if its greatest purpose was helping young people discover their genius, develop their abilities, and prepare for lives of meaning and purpose?
With more than 30 years of teaching experience, a master's degree in Education, and a teaching credential, I've worked with learners in a variety of educational settings. I've also spent more than 20 years homeschooling my five sons, giving me a unique perspective on how learning happens both inside and outside the classroom.
Through these experiences, I've come to believe that the most powerful learning happens when we move beyond simply delivering information and begin cultivating human potential.
Through my books, speaking, and coaching, I invite parents and educators to explore new possibilities for teaching, mentoring, and learning—approaches that inspire curiosity, develop character, and cultivate future leaders.

The subtitle, “To Educate a Generation of Leaders,” promises a lot—and the book delivers. The content addresses the benefits and shortcomings of today's educational system and how to make use of the one and sidestep the other. But what surprised me most was how relevant it is for anyone seeking a purposeful life. I picked it up to read as a favor to a friend, and by chapter three, I was hooked. The ideas are simple, elegant, and practical; it is a life map with step-by-step guidance and real-life examples. It made me realize we’re all mentors and students, whether we know it or not. This book lays out a clear, effective system for learning and teaching life, and it’s an excellent toolkit for anyone who is or wants to be a mentor or mentee. Highly recommend. - Jet

With a master's degree in Education and a teaching credential, I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to my work. As Director of Operations at the Leadership Education Mentoring Institute (LEMI), I help equip mentors with the principles, skills, and resources to inspire young people and develop future leaders.
Today, as an author, speaker, and mentor of mentors, I'm passionate about sharing these principles with those ready to rethink education and carry this work forward.
